We're sharing all the technical aspects, design tips, and upload requirements you need to make a Minecraft server icon with ease without comprising creativity. To prepare for the tutorial, you will need a browser and a reliable device to access an online editor.

 1. Find an image for your Minecraft server icon 2. Upload image to the PNG Maker Edit Minecraft server icon

 4. Export and upload to Minecraft Server

Step One: Find an Image for Your Minecraft Server Icon

Let's begin the tutorial by finding an image for the Minecraft server icon. You might consider the initials of your server name, custom logos that establish a unique identity, creative symbol sets, and character names. Pinterest and Google allow you to search for existing server icons. Here are some examples.

Step 2: Upload your image to the PNG Creator

Open your browser and visit the PNG Maker by Kapwing to begin creating your Minecraft server icon. Server icons should be 64x64 pixels with a file extension of PNG. This free tool easily supports both. The PNG Maker can be used on any device such as a tablet or a smartphone.

You have several options for opening the editor from here. To open the editor, tap or click on the get started button. You can upload a file to the file browser or paste an image link. This is the best option if you already own an image.

To find the perfect image, click the get started button. Next, use the Plugins tool. Pixabay also offers vectors and illustrations by talented creators. These are perfect for server icons. To generate results, type a descriptive term into the search bar. Next, tap or click on the search button. Below is an example what you can expect with the Pixabay plug-in.

Step Three: Edit Minecraft Server Icon

To adjust the canvas size to make it suitable for a server icon, click Custom on the right side. Click Done to save your changes.

To open the remove background tool, click on or tap the eraser. This will convert the image to a PNG file and make it transparent. You can adjust how big the eraser is, or use Magic Wand to quickly isolate the background from your icon. You can zoom in or out to make precise edits.

Click the Transparent icon under Background Color to make your image transparent.

Once the design specifications are complete, we can start customizing the server icon. You can browse shapes using the Elements Tool. Also, the image search tool can be used to locate overlays, graphics, borders, and other graphic elements. Drag the ends to reposition the element on the canvas.

If you desire a completely different look, the adjust tool can be used to alter the appearance of the server icon. Click on the image and click Adjust. Drag the circle left to right to change the setting's intensity. You can also click Filters and choose between 17 options. To see a preview of a filter, click the button.

This is a before and after image of the server icon following the use of the adjust tool.

Step Four: Export and Upload to Minecraft Server

Check your icon, then click on the Export Image button at top of the PNG maker.  Minecraft This will allow you to start processing the project.

After it finishes processing, change its file name to "server-icon". This file name is required to upload the icon to your Minecraft server, then click Download to save it to your device. To remove the watermark, sign in with your email address. You'll get a workspace that you can store and edit content for as long as two days.

Open your server files and drag and drop the file from your desktop or download folder into the root directory of your Minecraft server. Launch and refresh your Minecraft server and your new icon should appear for all to view!
